Born in 1962 in Lithuania. Graduated from the Vilnius Art Academy in 1986. Since 1987 member of Lithuanian Society of Artists. Expresses himself especially in graphics, oil painting, book illustration, and poster. Participated in several exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad, e.g., Germany, Poland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Italy, Great Britain, Australia, Egypt, Singapore, Japan, and USA. Chosen for the International Fellowship Award in the United States - Rutgers Center for Innovative Print and Paper, Rutgers University, NJ, 1997/98. July 8th, 2000 - First Prize at the 1 Biennale Internazionale di Grafica del Comune di Francavilla al Mare, Italy. Works in many museums and private collections, e.g. Museum of Lithuanian Art, Vilnius, Vilnius University, Kauno Langas Gallery, Kaunas, Fogg Art Museum of the Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ, Marsha Child Contemporary, Princeton, NJ, ADOGI Foundation, Barcelona, Spain, Museo Micheti, Francavilla al Mare, Italy. |
